Background: Aging communities

Globally, over 833 million people are over the age of 65, a number that will continue to grow over the coming decades. As the number of older adults increases, the number of people living with dementia is also expected to increase.

These learning modules explore how to create inclusive neighbourhoods that support older adults—and people living with dementia—to maintain community connections and activities even as their physical or cognitive abilities change.
